Proposed center would develop health-monitoring sensors
Imagine if, moments after a baby's birth, he was implanted with a tiny electronic device.
The microscopic biosensor would continuously monitor the baby's vital signs - from respiratory rates and body temperature to the presence of proteins that indicate oncoming illness.

Entrepreneur Scholarships awarded
Five aspiring entrepreneurs have been awarded $2,000 scholarships at NDSU. The NDSU Entrepreneurial Scholarships, established to attract young entrepreneurs to the university, are given to freshmen.

NDSU's technology transfer team protects IP, promotes collaboration
Since 1989 -- more than a decade before NDSU broke ground for the Research and Technology Park -- the NDSU Research Foundation along with NDSU's Office of Technology Transfer has helped NDSU scientists protect intellectual property and shepherd it toward commercial development.

Director's message
The NDSU Research and Technology Park is planning for a busy year in 2005. Two construction projects will begin this spring, Alien Technology's manufacturing/research facility and the NDSU Candlewood Suites Hotel. The research park is gaining recognition as an entity that contributes greatly to North Dakota's economic growth through public/private partnership. We appreciate your support of our mission.
