Five aspiring entrepreneurs have been awarded $2,000 scholarships at NDSU. The NDSU Entrepreneurial Scholarships, established to attract young entrepreneurs to the university, are given to freshmen.
This year's recipients are:
- Kaylee DeGraff, Maple Grove, Minn., animal science/pre-veterinary medicine;
- Seth Froyum, Zumbrota, Minn., mechanical engineering;
- Luke Keller, Mandan, N.D., animal science;
- David Larson, Andover, Minn., electrical engineering; and
- Jessica Ryant, Mahnomen, Minn., food science and biochemistry.
Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to remain eligible for the scholarships. They also must be active in the 5:01 Entrepreneur Society, a networking event for local entrepreneurs, students, business owners and investors.
The scholarships are funded through an anonymous donation. Five scholarships are awarded per year.
