Core labs to host open house
Two NDSU institutional core labs are scheduled to host an open house Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors will learn about capabilities that are available for research and education. The Electron Microscopy Center is located in the USDA Northern Crop Science Laboratory. The center is equipped with two transmission electron microscopes, two scanning electron microscopes, micro-computed tomography and an array of sample-preparation equipment and supplies, as well as a variety of light microscopes and secure image storage and sharing.
Research Operations Core Lab facilities are located in the Research 1 Addition and Research 2 buildings. Focus areas include: materials synthesis and processing, materials characterization, microfabrication, device packaging and testing, and reliability/failure analysis.
